Pinterest Project!

My friend Kelly is getting married in October and for table decorations, she chose a project from Pinterest. The original project can be found here.

Kelly bought vases at Hobby Lobby and we grabbed the rest of our supplies.

Kelly wrapped a vase in jute.

Meanwhile, I got to work putting rubber bands on another vase.

After that we stuffed paper in them so that the spray paint wouldn't cover the inside.

Then we went outside and spray painted them which I totally forgot to take a picture of.

And the final product? Voila!

I think they look awesome and with a candle added inside they will be lovely wedding centerpieces. Kelly also said that after the wedding I can keep one. =) They would be great as candle holders or as vases for flowers.

I can't wait to see them in action!

These are so cute! I tried them once but used way too much spray paint and it all chipped off! I'll have to try again for sure!

Martha Stewart move on over. What a wonderful idea. I love it. They will look lovely and you are right, a candle in there will make it perfect. Smart girls.

Those are really cute! Just curious, did you like the finished product of the jute or the rubber bands better? I really want to try this!

Love this! Saw another Blogger try this and it was a complete fail. Any tips on why you think yours worked so well?

I love this, but I am confused. Did the jute do the same thing the rubber bands did? Did one work better than the other?

That is a really great idea - it would look great with other colors, or just frosted, too. Good job!
