As I'm sure everyone knows, I don't live downtown. However, a couple of weekends ago I joined my family to visit my grandpa and his wife. After eating dinner, my sister (who is living with my grandpa until she finishes school at a nearby college) wanted to take us for a drive around her campus and afterward we drove around downtown where my pops lives. One of my favorite things about downtown is seeing all the gorgeous houses and yards. Take a look.
This house made me think of The Secret Garden with all the trees shrouding the house in mystery.... My sisters didn't see it though. How weird of them.
And I apologize for all the through-the-car-window shots. I have a lot to learn about taking pictures.
The prosecution would like to enter this photograph ^ as evidence.
We saw so many cute cottages. I was in love. Look at that sweet little walkway! Aw!
I will be moving into this beauty as soon as possible. I wish I could go inside!
I know, I know. Loving the stop sign in the corner aren't you? Anyway, this house was so much more beautiful than a picture could ever convey. But I still tried.
Craftsman-style houses galore! They make my heart skip a beat.
These people had so much land. I could imagine playing ultimate frisbee there every weekend. =]
Gorgeous huh? This is the SIDE of the house!!!
Ahhh, so beautiful. Let's all go hang out on that porch and have a glass of lemonade. =]
Anyone else love touring downtown for lovely homes?

I love just driving around and looking at homes. Something about it is so relaxing to me
I love old brick houses. No one builds with brick anymore. I also love houses that have a lot of lands. It seems like most houses now are so close to the house nextdoor that you can reach over and tap on your neighbors window to borrow sugar, no need to walk. Long driveways are my absolute favorite.
Those homes are beautiful!
And the last one with that gorgeous porch!
I'll take a glass of sweet tea please!
Thanks for stopping by our blog! We love visitors :) I hope you and your hubby are settling in to married life and enjoying all the great blessings of it! It's so much fun, isn't it?? :)
The homes in this post are absolutely gorgeous! Nathan and I don't live downtown, but I work downtown and occasionally get the chance to drive around and check out old homes--one of my favorite things to do!
